The questions people ask us most, answered as plainly as we can. If yours is not here, ask the office.
Is this a health or medical service?
No. Healthlab Seikotsu is a tour operator and a hotel. The name is a brand. We make no claims about the effect of any water, walk or meal, and our leaders give no health advice.
How do I reserve a place?
Send the request form from the protocol you want. A manager calls you within 48 hours at the time you choose, confirms the final price and the dates, and sends the itinerary in writing. Nothing is charged on this website.
Is the price on a protocol final?
No. It is an indicative starting figure per person in a shared double room. Flights, the season and the size of the group move it, so the manager who calls you confirms the final price before anything is agreed. The booking terms explain the steps.
How fit do I need to be?
Each protocol carries an effort figure from 1 to 5 and a profile of every day. If you can walk for two hours on a path with some slopes, you can manage every protocol rated Gentle.
Can I travel alone?
Yes. About a third of our travellers do. Single rooms are possible on most protocols, though few ryokan in Japan have them.
What if not enough people book?
A departure runs with four travellers or more. If it will not reach four, we tell you at least six weeks before and offer another date or your money back.
Do I need to bathe without clothes?
Only in Japan, where the shared baths are single-sex and swimwear is not worn. Everywhere else, swimwear is normal. Private baths are possible in Japan if you prefer.
Can I stay longer at the hotel before or after?
Yes, and many people do. The office books the extra nights at the same time as the protocol.
What languages do your leaders speak?
All speak English and German. Two speak Japanese, one speaks Turkish, and one speaks Italian.
Is travel insurance included?
No. We ask every traveller to hold insurance that covers medical care abroad and cancellation.
