Healthlab Seikotsu Hotel was built in 1893 for visitors who came to Mariánské Lázně to drink from its springs and walk its park. The house is four storeys of cream-yellow stucco with iron verandahs, a corner tower and a view down to the cast-iron Colonnade.

A house that belongs to the town
Mariánské Lázně grew from forest and marsh in barely a hundred years. By the 1890s it had a promenade, a colonnade of cast iron and a crowd of new hotels on the slopes around the park. Ours was one of them, built by a family from Cheb and named for the hill it stands on until we gave it our own name in 2019.
The town is one of the eleven Great Spa Towns of Europe on the UNESCO World Heritage list, together with Karlovy Vary and Františkovy Lázně nearby. Its springs are still free to taste at the pavilions, and its music fountain still plays on the hour in season.

Inside
Floors are pale marble on the ground floor and oak above. The walls of the halls carry the original mint and white tiles, cleaned and patched rather than replaced, and the brass of the stair rail has been polished for more than a century. We kept the high ceilings, which means the house stays cool in July.
The office of the tour house is on the left of the entrance hall. Behind the reception desk there is a luggage room where you can leave a bag while you are away on a protocol, free of charge, for as long as the protocol lasts.
