The casino is part of this hotel and of nothing else. It occupies one room of the building, the long gallery where spa guests of the 1890s queued for their cups of spring water, and it is run from the same front desk, under the same roof and the same address. You do not cross a street, a courtyard or a car park to reach it.

From the reception desk you walk 38 steps: across the entrance hall, past the cloakroom, through the colonnade hall with its nine iron columns, to a pair of oak doors on its south wall. Those doors open into the casino, and a member of staff stands beside them for every hour the room is open.

The room

The casino floor holds 9 tables in two rows beneath the vault, with the bar of 12 seats at the east end, where the old spring basin used to be. Early in the evening the room is quiet and the bar serves coffee as often as wine; by ten most tables are in use and the staff bring drinks to the players so that nobody has to leave a seat.

The gallery is 31 metres long, 9.5 metres wide and 8.6 metres high under the crown of the vault. Its floor is pale marble, its columns are cast iron painted mint, and three brass chandeliers hang from the ribs of the glass. There is no music, only the sound of the room. A clock hangs over the bar in plain sight, and the staff are asked to tell anyone the time the moment they are asked, because a room like this should never hide the hour.

Smart casual is the level of the room rather than a rule against anyone: clean shoes, no sportswear, no swimwear from the pool hall. A jacket is welcome after eight in the evening, and the cloakroom by the entrance hall will keep coats, bags and umbrellas until the room closes at one.

Age and identification

Czech law sets the casino age at 18 and allows no exceptions, not for a birthday next week, not for a guest accompanied by a parent. The same law requires every visitor to be identified on entry and checked against the national register of excluded persons.

The document is checked at every entry, not once per stay. A guest who dined in our restaurant an hour ago and walked across the hall shows it again at the door. We accept a valid passport or a national identity card. A photograph or a scan of a document on a phone is not a document and will not be accepted.

Nobody under 18 enters the casino at any hour, including the hours when it is closed and the room is being cleaned, and including the daytime tours of the building that we run for hotel guests.

Limits and stopping

Limits are set at the table with the staff of the room. Tell them a sum before you sit down; they will write it down and hold you to it, and if you ask for help keeping to it they will offer it before you have to ask twice.

Stopping is arranged in person at the reception desk, never on the casino floor and never by telephone. A ban you ask for yourself starts the same evening and can be lifted only by coming back to the same desk in person. The national register of excluded persons is separate: an entry made at your own request runs for at least one year, as explained on the responsible gaming page.

There is no credit in the room, and there is no cash machine anywhere in the building. The casino accepts no cheques and no promises.

This website offers no gaming

Healthlab Seikotsu Casino is land-based: one room inside a hotel in Mariánské Lázně, and that is all it is. This website describes the room and the house around it. It does not run games, take bets, open accounts or move money of any kind.

To play, you come to the hotel at the address below, show your document at the door of the gallery and take a seat. There is no other way in, and no part of it happens on this page.
