This is the gentle sister of our São Miguel protocol. We stay in one hotel in Furnas for all four island nights, so you unpack once.

From the hotel to Prague airport and on to Lisbon for the night.
Day 2
Furnas
The flight to the island and the drive to Furnas, with a first evening in the warm pools of the old bath house garden.
Day 3
Gorreana
The tea estates at Gorreana and Porto Formoso: the old machines, the rows on the hills and a cup on the terrace.
Day 4
Nordeste
A day along the north-east coast and a walk by the Salto do Cabrito waterfall.
Day 5
Home
A last early bath and the journey home via Lisbon.
