Rolling Tuscan hills at dawn with a farmhouse half-hidden among cypress trees

Val d’Orcia Walk and Soak

Protocol P-08, Tuscany

The Val d’Orcia is the Tuscany of postcards: bare hills, lines of cypress and stone farms on every ridge. It also has warm springs, and this protocol links them with walks of three to five hours on farm roads.

Duration

6 days

Up to 10

Mar to Jun, Sep to Nov

Meet at

Hotel hall, Mariánské Lázně

Indicative price

From CZK 46,900 per person

The price is indicative, per person in a shared double room. A manager confirms the final price when you send a request, because flights and hotel rates move with the season.

It is our most active route, with two days that reach 3 on the effort scale. Your bag travels by van between the inns, so you only ever carry water and a jacket.

What we arrange

  • Flights from Prague to Florence and back
  • Luggage transfer between the inns
  • Five nights in village inns with breakfast
  • Four suppers and two picnic lunches
  • A walking leader and a driver

What we leave to you

  • Other lunches
  • Wine tastings, which can be arranged
  • Travel insurance

What to bring

  • Walking shoes with grip for dusty farm tracks
  • A hat and sun cream: there is little shade
  • A refillable bottle of at least one litre

The walks follow farm roads with no shade in summer, so we do not run this protocol in July or August.
